One of the largest design sites out there has extended itself offline!
Apartment Therapy started monthly offline meetups in New York almost two years ago, but attendance has really started to grow in the past six months. As a local, I am lucky enough to attend these events on a monthly basis. And, as of October 2009, I started writing up these interviews to be posted on the site.
Each month, Apartment Therapy’s founder, Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan, conducts a 1:1 interview with a designer or craftsperson. These interviews last about one hour and are educational, informative, and inspiring. I started writing up these interviews for the AT staff last September, and find that each month I learn something new about the design process and ways of working that have inspired my own work.
You can read the individual interviews at the links below. Also, if you are interested in joining us in New York, or elsewhere around the country (now officially launched!) please email me to find out how to get involved. We’d love to have you!
